Little Misty, helmed by Kathryn Samman and François Jalbert, brings a refreshing twist to traditional folk music. While grounded in folk roots, their sound meanders through indie and progressive rock territories, offering a diverse sonic palette for listeners to explore.
Recently, Little Misty shared a glimpse into their world with a series of recordings captured live at Studio Mixart in Montreal. Among these recordings is their take on “Scarlet Town” by Gillian Welch, produced by David Rawlings.

“This is a completely live performance by Little Misty,” states Jalbert. “We basically took a picture of what the band could deliver without any post-production. No edits, no tuning, no overdubs. What you hear was all played together as if it were a show.”
