Montreal singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz has released her new single, “Eclipse,” now available on various streaming platforms. Merging classic rock influences with contemporary pop elements, “Eclipse” is described as a textured and vivid composition that reflects Gutherz’s artistic maturity.
Speaking about the single, Annabel Gutherz said, “‘Eclipse’ is about my tendency to compare myself to others and the impact this has on my self-esteem. I would rather be concentrated on purpose than consumed by comparison despite how challenging it may be at times, especially given the ubiquitous nature of social media.” She says the song is a representation of her desire to focus on her own path and nurture her inner confidence.
Produced in collaboration with Mikal Blue, known for his work with OneRepublic and Jason Mraz, and Bret “Epic” Mazur, associated with Crazy Town and Prince, the song showcases a blend of diverse musical styles.
Gutherz, a native of Montreal, is known for her engaging storytelling and distinct vocal style, creating music that resonates with the core of human experiences. Her approach combines honest lyricism with captivating melodies.
Following her 2021 album “Loose Ends,” Gutherz has continued to evolve her sound, working with esteemed collaborators like Bleu McAuley and Bonnie Hayes. A graduate with both a baccalaureate and a master’s degree in songwriting from Berklee College of Music, Gutherz is committed to her artistic development. With more music planned for release in 2024, Annabel Gutherz is an emerging artist to keep an eye on.
