This week saw the first performance from Sam Patch, aka a new project spearheaded by Arcade Fire’s Tim Kingsbury.
The show took place at Bar Le Ritz PDB in Montreal as part of the Passovah Summer Festival, and Kingsbury was accompanied by Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara and Basia Bulat.

Kingsbury says there is a Sam Patch album in the works. Speaking to Cult Montreal, he says the songs were written at hotels during Arcade Fire’s last tour. He has been recording music since the tour ended and is still working on finishing the album.
In Arcade Fire news, their film THE REFLEKTOR TAPES will premiere at Toronto International Film Festival before being released in theatres on 23rd September 2015.
