It’s just 6 weeks until Billie Eilish returns to Quebec when she will play a sold-out show at Laval’s Place Bell.
To get fans excited for the show, the pop megastar has released a live video featuring her song “I Wish You Were Gay”. The video features footage of her show in London back in March – showing the young singer both on stage and backstage, as well as interacting with her fans.
Check out the clip below.
Explaining the meaning of the song Eilish said: “I wrote this song about a guy that really was not interested in me and it made me feel horrible.”
She continued: “So the song is called ‘Wish You Were Gay’, and that’s so not meant to be offensive in any way. It doesn’t mean that I wish he was like… it literally means I wish he was gay so that he didn’t like me for an actual reason, instead of the fact that he didn’t like me.”
It’s only a year since she played a short set at Montreal’s fairly intimate Corona Theatre. Support for her Place Bell show comes from Denzel Curry.
