If you have been to any live event (pre-COVID-19), you probably received an Alex Henry Foster flyer for an upcoming show.
I know I received at least 6 before I asked the question: Who is this guy?
I did what any curious journalist does…I booked an interview: Alex Henry Foster Interview
What transpired was one of the most fascinating, honest and raw discussions I have ever had with an artist.
Then I find out my interview is translated in French and Japanese! Again…who is this guy?
Prep a pot of coffee and make sure you watch his performance which was streamed on May 1st, 2020 on the PROG Facebook Page. When? This Saturday May 23, 2020 from 9 AM to 10 AM.
Why so early? Probably because it will be 9 PM in Japan, where he has quite the following.
Having seen his performance live at L’Astral, I can say for a fact that it was a moving experience.
The average song length for the Ramones (164 songs) is 2 minutes, 37 seconds.
There is something about Prog music, with its 10 minutes and over song times, that lets the emotion behind the songs sink in. This is not fast food, this is a gourmet meal, best ingested slowly.
